The Meeting was Called to Order at 7:18pm by President Vincent Sheehan
Attendance: Michele Andrea, Vincent Sheehan, Leslie Earle, Lisa Coletta, Dan Smith, Carol Paszamant, Theresa Spataro, Jackie Gminder, Nancy Costello, Jane Prestup, Dave Prestup, Kicia Powell & Erica Bundy

February Minutes Read and Accepted
Treasurer Report: Dan Smith reported $4003.87 were spent in the month of February.
Upcoming Events & Issues:
• The Stress Factory- Sunday, March 18th – Dan, Lisa & Vince -Tickets are still available online through the www.northbrunswickhumane.org . Also, Dan Smith has tickets and Vincent Sheehan in Katie’s Pet Depot have tickets. Tickets sales are down, spread the word to get people to buy. The Journal is closed and going to press. We thank anyone who contributed to the sale of Journal space and those companies that purchased Journal space. We will be selling 50/50 Raffle Tickets during the event. Jackie, Erica and Kicia will sell 50/50 raffle tickets.
• Community Cat Program – Teresa Spataro reported we are working on 2 – TNR Projects right now. o A colony in South Brunswick has 25-30 Cats. We might need Forgotten Cats to come in and help. o A Colony in Spotswood -there are 16 cats. The residents will contribute to the costs. Donna Hildreth is working on getting trappers for this. o $1000 was given to Karma Cat/ Zen Dog for our partnership with them and PFA on Snip & Chip. o Our February expenses were $1,188 for 12 cats.
• Grant Writing – Lisa – Jim LaCanna still working on the program.
• Flea Market – Saturday, May 12th – Dan Smith reported, Flea Market signs will be order this week, Dan emailed the previous year’s Vendors, he is starting to take donations of goods. We have the EBYG committed. At the next meeting he will pass the Volunteer sheet around for our Members to sign up to work.
• Super Cat Adoption Day Event (SCAD) – Saturday, June 16th – Lisa reported Michele is working on getting a Sponsor for the event. Lisa is working on the Animal Rescue Group commitments. The Food & Ice cream Vendors and East Brunswick Youth Group volunteers are committed.
• Paws for a Cause- Sunday, May 6th -Colonial Park- Michele or Dan – the volunteer signup sheet was passed around. Volunteers include, Jackie Gminder, Barbara Bagileo, Nancy Costello & Jane & Dave Prestup.
• Dine to Donate- Leslie Earle -Update- the next Dine to Donate is at Fiddleheads Bistro-March 22nd. Cash or checks only,No Credit Cards accepted and “No Take Out” available. The next Dine to Donate is Green Turtle on June 10th from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
• Annual Dog Walk-a-Thon & Adoption Day Event – September 16th, rain date September 30th. Michele Andrea reported NBHA could not get the NB Community Park early in October, so these are the dates. More to Come.
• Walmart Grant – Dan Smith Update- Working on the distribution piece of this. More to Come.
• Pet Scattering Garden- Michele Andrea reported that NB Parks & Recreation is in the brainstorming phase of creating a Pet Scattering Garden Memorial near the Dog Park. If anyone sees construction going on they will know what it is. This is a North Brunswick Township project.
• Rutgers’s Day – April 29th- NBHA always participates and will again this year. Dan will contact Donna for the Rutgers Contact Info.
• A Certificate of Appreciation – Leslie Earl on behalf of the Board of Directors, announced and acknowledge Theresa Spataro for Stepping Up and taking on the Community Cat Program in Donna Hildreth’s absence. Theresa performed an important service to the Community and to the North Brunswick Humane Association. The NBHA Board presented Theresa with a Certificate of Appreciation and 2-$25.00 Gift Cards from Chipotle’s Restaurant.
