The Meeting was Called to Order by President Vincent Sheehan at 7:15pm

December Minutes were Read & Accepted
Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer Dan Smith reported for the month of December – Total Income of $2393.00 and Total Expenses of $550.90 with a Net Income of $ 1842.10. Year to Date – Total Income of $ 25,727.55 & Total Expenses of $ 25,782.72 with a Net Loss of $ 482.95
Upcoming Events & Issues:
- Dine to Donate – Leslie – Leslie reported the next event is at Bertucci’s on January 24th . This will apply to eat in & take out. NBHA will get up 25% on all proceeds based a sliding scale on both food & liquor. Flyers for this event were available for all members. Leslie spoke about future Dine to Donate locations and the membership provided input as well.
- The Stress Factory- Vince & Dan reported that this event will take place on Sunday, March 4th . NBHA is in discussions on possibly changing the date but for now March 4th is the booked date. The membership were instructed on how to approach businesses on Sponsorship in the Journal or Play Bill. A review of the forms Dan had previously provided via email were reviewed. Second Chance for Animals, who is partnering on this event with NBHA has decided to work on the Journal as well.
- Community Cat Program – Michele spoke about a current trapping going on in Area # 3 where 2 lost/ non ear tipped cats showed up in the colony. Sharon asked about trapping assistance and needed an explanation on what to do with 2 feral cats in her neighborhood. Vince provided some context.
- Spayed/Neuter Grants for 2018- The Board is still evaluating what this program will look like in 2018.
- Grant Writer – Dan reported that Lisa Coletta would be bringing a person versed in this subject to our next Board Meeting to update us on “ how to” and “what to look for” in Grant Writing.
- Walmart Foundation Grant- Food Distribution – NBHA is a recipient of a Walmart Foundation Grant of $750.00. The Board decided to use this money to distribute food to local Community Cat Programs. It is our intent to setup a date, time and place for those invited CCP recipients to pickup their food. Dan is working on it.
