Membership Meeting
Monday, October 16,2017 at 7:00pm

The meeting was called to order by President, Vincent Sheehan at 7:00pm.
In Attendance: Leslie Earl, Michele Andrea, Vincent Sheehan, Lisa Coletta, Dan Smith, Joycelyn Caffrey Jackie Gminder, Jennifer Peppe, Erica Bundy, Jane Prestup, Dave Prestup. Sara Ragsdale, Carol Paszamant & Nancy Costello
The September Minutes were Read & Accepted.
The Treasurer was not available. It was mentioned that PFA was funded on account for the Community Cat Program for an additional $5000.
Discussion Points:
1. Karma Cat / Zen Dog Fetch & Pounce 5k- was a little lower in attendance . We did not get any Donations. We did get a really good Vendor for our Dog Walk event in PetValu.
2. Anthropologie’s Sit, Stay, Love Adoption Event – No Adoptions. $45.00 in donations. Business was slow.
3. Dine to Donate- Green Turtle- Yappy Hour- September 29th- $181.50 was made. The October 8th we made $ 118.75. Next one will be held on December 13th at the Green Turtle.
4. Dog Walk & Adoption Day Event- good feedback provided. Michele will create a handout on the Feedback. Dan reported still some outstanding Sponsor dollars due, but right now $6048 net revenue. Roughly 89 Dogs paid.
Upcoming Events: Good brainstorming took place.
1. We need to solve in the next several months – Fundraising, Marketing & Grant Writing Resources.
2. 50 Feral Cats – Theresa was involved, Thank You. 58 Cats were taken care of.
3. Subaru Loves Pets in October- Michele reported Victory Subaru will Sponsor NBHA in the month. We have elected to sponsor 2 Animal Rescues, Second Chance for Animals & New Beginnings & our own Community Cat Program.
4. 2018 Fundraisers- The Stress Factory was discussed by Lisa. We would need to partner with 2 other Animal Rescues. We would not do a play bill or journal, we would sell tickets and set up quarantee on that. We would be looking for a Feb/March date. More to come.
5. Boscov’s Fundraiser- Dan, Vince & Sarah will do.
6. Barnes & Noble Gift Wrapping was mentioned . Jane will follow up with them. Lisa will follow up with Donna.
7. Sarah mentioned about a dinner fundraiser with her performing. A lot of brainstorming and discussion took place. Leslie would follow up with Italian American Club & Bertucci’s .
8. Mark Cafferty from CART will be invited to our next meeting .
